22 May London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Film Enterprise
Well done!
On 28th April five Year 10 students pitched their film ideas at the finals for the third London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Film Enterprise event.
Chinwuba’s film idea, Negate Tranquillity, blew the judges away with its mature themes and thoughtful style. Judge Jules Hardy said she wanted to read whatever Chinwuba writes in the future because his ideas are so good. Aida, Raihana, Melissa and Klaudia presented Misguiding Phone with great drama, their rhetorical questions got the judges thinking and Banky Ojo praised the colour palette and how richly it was explained in the pitch.
There were over forty film ideas pitched to the event and only eight made it to the finals. Jo Richardson is the first school ever to have two pitch ideas make it to the final day.
The winning idea will be made into a film by professional film makers with a gala, red carpet viewing event in July. Miss Muhidin and Ms Harland were very impressed with all the students. Connor May from LBBD said Jo Richardson students have such wonderful ideas.
