28 Sep Adventure Time for Year 13 at Stubbers
On Wednesday 19th September Year 13 enjoyed an afternoon of adventure at Stubbers and participated in two group activities. Some groups embraced some dizzy heights by completing climbing wall challenges, a leap of faith challenge and a race to the top of the climbing wall. Everyone took on the climbing activities with courage and humour and it was enjoyable to see the year group relaxing and having fun.
After completing their dizzy height activity, students were then faced with the challenge of building a raft. Students built rafts that were narrow and wide, some groups waited until the last moment to attach barrels to make the raft float, and somehow, miraculously, all rafts floated (for most of the time). Having been so careful not to get wet, virtually every rafter came back dripping but also smiling. (Some had even brought the change of clothes suggested on the letter).
It was a pleasure to spend time with Year 13 and enjoyable to see them embracing their fears, laughing with their peers and making the most of the afternoon.
