15 Dec Art and Design in Action Emmanuel Centre
Well done!
The school’s Sixth Form Art students had the pleasure of attending a conference where they learned from four world renowned artists, these included Martin Parr and his engaging talk on his humorous approach to photography, Rebecca Wright and her informativel discussion on the life-saving uses of graphic design, Hugo Dalton and his presentation on the importance of collaboration in the creative sphere, and finally Sir Grayson Perry and his inspirational lecture on how to be creative and follow one’s artistic vision, which hilariously ended in a song.
The wide range of mediums explored by these influential artists meant that every student gained knowledge that will certainly inform their own creative practices, and it was ultimately a highly enjoyable and educational experience for us all.
