11 Nov Cross Country
The JRCS Cross Country Team competed in the Borough Cross Country Championships on Friday 4th November at Pages Wood in Havering. Students were selected to represent the school from KS3 lessons, where all students participated in a 3K cross country race. The top six from each year group were then selected to compete against 11 other schools from Barking and Dagenham. There were some outstanding individual performances on the day with Donte Auguste 7E achieving gold in the Year 7 Boys event and Michael Tittley 8A winning bronze in the Year 8/9 boys race. Temi Taiwo 8A also won bronze in the Year 8/9 Girls race and overall the Year 8/9 girls achieved a team Silver and our Year 7 boys won the team Gold. All of the athletes gave 100% despite the adverse weather conditions and we would like to congratulate you all on your performance.
Well done!

Sports Leaders Polo Shirts
Many apologies to parents and students for the wait for these items this term. I know many were paid for right at the start of term, however, many have only just been paid for in recent weeks causing the delay in making the order. We also had to use another supplier due to the fact that our original supplier no longer stocked the items we required. The shirts were delivered this week, so if you haven’t done so already you can collect yours from Ms Montague on Wednesday 16th November at break time in the Sports Hall. Please note that if shirts were not paid for by the extended deadline of Monday 31st October they will not be available. Parents and carers yet to make their payment should make the £20 registration fee (reduced from £30) as soon as possible.
Many thanks,
Ms Montague
