15 Nov Faraday Science Challenge Day
On Thursday 31st October 36 students from Year 8 took part in the Faraday Challenge run by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. On the day students were introduced to a challenge which tested their teamwork and communication skills, as well as (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths knowledge and problem solving. Students worked in teams of six throughout the day and were scored on various tasks and towards the end of the day student had to present their ideas and solutions. The winning team has been entered into the regional leader board and if they remain near the top they may be invited to the regional finals. They have also been invited to the Young Engineers Festival next summer. Well done to all students who took part, you all worked amazingly well and you will all be receiving certificate from the IET.
Particularly well done to the wining team Thomas, Oliver, Casey, Hisham, Aleksandar and Alfie.
