Last weekend Lucy Lombard 11D joined some familiar faces on the judging panel of this year’s Summer of Sound competition, held in The Mercury Mall, Romford. Other judges included Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Jasmine Elcock and The Voice contestants Lyrikal and Collier Row girl Lydia Lucy who is rumoured to have joined rapper Will.i.am in the Black Eyed Peas.

Since winning last year’s competition Lucy has performed at the Havering Show, Romford’s Christmas light switch on and the Royal Albert Hall.

Prizes for the winner of the Summer of Sound include major public appearances, vocal coaching, the chance to record their own music videos and a CD as well as a possible contract. There may also be an opportunity to write and perform the title song for a movie.
