At the end of last year, Rody and Owen won a competition for best film pitch. As their reward, they got to participate in a project at Eastbrook Studios led by producer Valeria Bullo who undertook roles on big

budget studio feature films including Inception, Mad Max: Fury Road and Maleficent.

The students were put in groups and assigned roles to bring a script to screen starting with blocking scripts before eventually filming. Rody and Owen were assigned the task of running things behind the scenes, such as managing schedules, budget, production lines, set, costume and filming. Their specific responsibilities were atmosphere and props.

Rody and Owen were by far the youngest students there. However, they led from the front with maturity and poise bringing their knowledge to the role with confidence. We were very proud of them both and would like to congratulate them on how well they conducted themselves in this pressured environment.
