16 Dec Remembrance Poppy sales for the Royal British Legion – November
Well done!
Throughout the week in November, the Student Voice “Social Action” Team has been actively selling poppies and poppy-themed merchandise to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
This initiative is part of our school’s commitment to honoring those who have and continue to serve and sacrifice for the country, with all proceeds going directly to support veterans and their families.
The team set up stalls during break times, encouraging students and staff to show their support by purchasing a poppy or other items. The range of merchandise included poppy pins, bracelets, and badges, each serving as a symbol of remembrance and solidarity. Many students took the time to learn more about the significance of the poppy, understanding how small actions can make a big difference for those who have served in the armed forces.
Thanks to the generosity of the school community, the Social Action team has raised an impressive amount, reflecting our shared commitment to remembering and supporting those affected by conflict.
As Remembrance Day approached, the sale of poppies within our school served as a reminder to reflect on the values of courage, resilience, and community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this important cause.
