19 Jan RPC Mentoring Scheme
Year 10
This article will talk about my experience with the recent trip to RPC. The experience was amazing and I really loved it.
First we arrived at Tower Hill tube station in London and walked across the road and into RPC. The RPC building looks amazing. There is glass everywhere which makes it look really expensive and clean. We were greeted by a man called James one of the partners at RPC and he introduced us to the plan for the day. We took a trip around the building and talked about life in a law firm, which was incredible. We saw how people worked in real life and everybody was so quiet and getting on with their work.
Afterwards we came back to our meeting point and we got to have lunch which was amazing, they even had a coffee machine! Afterwards we got to meet with our mentors. I clicked straight away with my mentor, we had a lot to talk about. We talked a lot about careers. I explained what I wanted to do and she suggested paths I should take in order to follow my dreams, which was really helpful!
Most importantly after today I learned that there are so many job opportunities in the world and you should find out more about them all before you decide on what you want to do in life.
By exploring these different pathways I even found out some careers that I didn’t even know existed before this trip. I’m looking forward to the next visit. Thank you Miss Ryzak in the Business Department for arranging this trip and taking us for this unique experience.
