30 Nov S.M.I.L.E. Shoebox Appeal
This year we have brought back the shoe box appeal for the local charity S.M.I.L.E who help those living in poverty in London and Essex. The boxes were put together in around two weeks and we managed to gather over 40! We also got large donations from Megan and Thomas McCabe who gave lots of large toys which will all go to less fortunate children. We delivered the boxes to the charity on Thursday and they were extremely grateful for the help we have given them. Thank you to the fundraising team who helped us collect and sort through the boxes and even gave up their time on Monday!
Thank you to everyone who gave a shoe box or items to fill one because you have helped make somebody else’s Christmas!

SMILE Shoebox Appeal Superstar!
I just wanted to pop a note in The Seagull to say how proud I am of Megan McCabe (9F) who has gone above and beyond to support those less fortunate in her local community. She, with the support of her dad, gathered together several FULL shoeboxes for the appeal as well as countless other toys. The bag was absolutely huge and full of lovely new items for children in our local area.
Megan is always thinking of others and always works hard to ensure that she takes advantage of all of the opportunities that are put in front of her.
Well done Megan!
