March on in Consortium Cup
The Sixth Form football team made a giant leap towards winning the Consortium Cup for a fourth year running last week as they battled to a narrow 1-0 victory over rivals Sydney Russell. Lewis Smith was the scorer of the game’s only goal in what was a tightly contested affair. The team now face Dagenham Park knowing a draw would all but secure them the title. Well done to Jerold Cobblah who was man of the match, he led the line brilliantly. A special mention goes to the defence who were resolute and restricted Sydney to a handful of chances during a second half which the visiting side dominated.
