23 Nov SMILE Appeal
Well done Liepa!
A wonderful group of Sixth Formers have set up an appeal to get together some shoeboxes for children in the local area in time for Christmas. The aim is to try to ensure that everyone in Barking and Dagenham has a happy Christmas with a few little gifts to open on the big day. As Head of Year 9, I announced this opportunity to the year group last Friday, informing them of what they needed to do. The aim was to build two shoeboxes as a tutor group for the appeal. This would mean that Year 9 could give at least 10 shoeboxes.
I was astounded when on Monday (the first day since my announcement) Liepa Blandyte (9B) had brought in two beautiful shoeboxes herself.
I am incredibly proud to have Liepa in my year group, a student who has gone above and beyond to be a helping hand in her local community.
Well done Liepa!
