06 Sep The Island Day
Well done!
The Year 7s started their second day at JRCS with “The Island”, a day where students work in their forms doing lots of interesting work based on being in an unfamiliar context.
They experienced building a communications tower, working as a team, learning how to filter clean water, building a signaling device to be rescued and many more interesting activities.
The level of engagement was amazing, and it was great to see all the fantastic work they were doing in their subject areas. Each tutor was asked to nominate two students to gain their first LOC from the school, which will be sent out shortly.
Overall, a fantastic start to life at JRCS that encompasses the ideals of community, resilience and achievement for all. Well done Year 7!
