Well done!
Recently, the Film Club has been working, planning, and preparing on creating a film for the ‘Into Film’ competition.
We have been coming after school to work on this project every Wednesday, script writing and learning to edit and experimenting with different types of camera angles. Once all our hard work had been fulfilled, we moved onto the actual film making experience.
As the students came into school, we immediately made our way to the park with all our equipment including our cameras, tripods, and props. We began our filming journey with practising our camera shots and getting actors into places and positions. However once finished, we received great results with a few funny bloopers from our students. Successfully, we created our short film, and we are awaiting to win the competition with high hopes.
A few quotes from our fantastic and resilient students.
“This is good for my mental health”- Samuel
“Most fun I’ve had in quite a while.”- Davis
“I have been delighted and excited, an absolutely, unbelievably, fantastically joyous day”- Egle.
Ms Harland said “I am very impressed with the students. They were directing each other; everyone had a go on the camera, and they all got involved in editing and making sound effects. It was a full on, tough day, but very enjoyable. We made a product and that is very satisfying. A highlight for me was watching these creative, kind and hard-working students come together for a day of creativity. I am very proud of all of them.”
