04 Feb Trewern Blog 2026 – Day 2
News from Day 2 of our school trip to Trewern!
Good morning,
Our KS4 group 1 took on an unforgettable adventure, crawling, squeezing, and walking through the Porth Ye Ogof caves. After emerging muddy but smiling, they headed out on a hike to a stunning waterfall, fully kitted out in their wet weather gear and embracing the elements. A brilliant day of teamwork and resilience.
Group two had a wonderful but chilly day canoeing, we went under the bridge and managed to improve our paddling. Some of us even managing to stand up in the boat . All the students were amazing and resilient in the cold weather and really have bonded as a team !
Well done 👏
Group three started with Bushcraft where we made tents from rope and tarpaulin, learned how to start a fire with cotton wool, and then cooked popcorn on the fire we helped start. We then moved on to indoor climbing where we learned how to safely help each other climb. Finally, we finished the activity day with archery where safety was most important.
Hoping for good weather again,
