06 Feb Trewern Blog 2026 – Day 4
News from the final day of our Trewern trip!
Good morning,
We’re on the way home today!!!
However, yesterday was a very rainy day at, group 2 had a go at bush craft in the morning where the students did well to battle the elements with some students managing to use flint and steel to create sparks for a fire. We then had a go at indoor archery where we had a few talented archers, and finally, we dabbled in rock climbing and various challenges . The students did well to try to ignore the gloomy weather. Let’s go team 2 👏
Group one went to a farm where they learned about different species and the different processes that a farm go through. They the bought gifts from a local gift shop, and rounded off their day with hot chocolates.
Group three went canoeing in the rain, it was luckily not windy or cold. We had three to a boat and quickly learned that steering from the back was way easier than the middle or front. After learning the basics, we rowed gentle down the stream, turned around and came back on ourselves to end the session.
A massive well done to all our students this week, they have exceeded our expectations and developed some great habits with cleaning and setting tables (I’m sure they’ll be happy to show you when they’re home).
Looking forward to seeing you all again,
Trewern 2026
