26 Feb Urgent Coronavirus Information
Information on any updates regarding the recent outbreak:
I wanted to ensure that you were aware of the latest guidance regarding people who have returned from specific areas of Northern Italy since February 19, as this has been updated today:
If since 19 February you have returned from the following specific lockdown areas in Northern Italy as designated by the Government of Italy (see map) – as of 25/02/2020 @1430 these are 10 towns in the Lombardy Region (Bertonico, Casalpusterlengo, Castelgerundo, Castiglione d’Adda, Codogno, Fombio, Maleo, San Fiorano, Somaglia and Terranova dei Passerini) and 1 town in the Veneto Region (Vo) – you should immediately self-isolate and not attend school, even if asymptomatic, and call NHS 111 to inform of recent travel.
If since 19 February you have returned from other areas in Northern Italy not specified above (see map), you do not need to undertake any special measures, but you should monitor yourself for symptoms. If you are experiencing cough or fever or shortness of breath, even if symptoms are mild, you should stay indoors and avoid contact with other people and call NHS 111 immediately, informing them of your recent travel.
Please can you inform the school immediately if you have called 111 with the outcome of the telephone call.
