16 Nov Year 10 Netball
Well done girls!
The Year 10 netball girls have had a busy start to this half-term with three fixtures in the last fortnight.
On Wednesday 31st October we faced Eastbury at home and previously did not have a great record against them. It was a closely fought game which we ended
up winning 11-10 in the closing seconds.
The following day we played Westcliff High School for Schools in the second round of the Essex Cup. They were finalists last year and we expected a tough competition, which is was we got! However, I was proud of the resilience shown by the girls throughout the match and our second half was more positive all round in terms of our passing and defending.
The final fixture was away at Sydney Russell on Thursday 8th November and this was another close competition with goals being scored end to end. Unfortunately, we could not pull in back in time in the final minutes and we ended up losing by one goal 7-6. I have been impressed with the commitment, maturity and dedication shown by the Year 10 girls so far this year and I look forward to our remaining fixtures before Christmas.
