04 Apr Year 12 & 13 Business Trip – The Shard
Well done!
In March some of our Year 12 and Year 13 Business Studies students visited The Shard to gain an insight into the day-to-day activities of a well-known global research and consulting company – Gallup.
Throughout the day, the students had the opportunity to talk to the lead recruitment consultant who provided inside knowledge on what they look for in applicants and the approach recruitment consultants are moving towards with the use of AI. The students then heard from two employees about how they made it to where they are at Gallup. The last session focused on an activity to identify their key strengths using techniques from the famous Clifton Strengths test.
The day was then finished off with the students and staff at Gallup enjoying a lunch together which was enjoyed by all. Feedback from Gallup and all teachers who attended was very positive stating that all students who attended were “very professional, attentive and curious”.
