15 Sep Year 6 Open Evening
Welcome!
We have had a fantastic start to term. It was great to welcome so many parents/carers to our Year 6 Open Evening. We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback about the school. I have enclosed feedback from one of the many emails received about the excellent work of our tour guides:
“I attended the Open Evening with my daughter last night. We were both very impressed with your school and what chances and opportunities are available. It was lovely to see your pupils passionate about subjects and what they enjoy about being taught at JRCS along with her feelings toward the school that she obviously feels a lot for.”
May I thank all the students that supported on Wednesday evening to ensure the night was such a success.
As I say in my speech at the beginning of each year, we are a strict school with high expectations around uniform and behaviour. We feel this is really important in ensuring students have high standards in everything they do. Our policies help us to maintain an ethos of high expectation. This leads to a positive and calm learning environment for all our students.
May I thank parents/carers who have supported us in delivering this. Our uniform and behaviour management policy are available on our website. I have included a copy of the uniform policy as a reminder at the back of The Seagull. Please support us by ensuring students do not wear jewellery to school, have appropriate school shoes and skirts are knee length.
As the weather begins to turn colder, a reminder that students should either wear the school jumper or have a proper coat. No tracksuit tops or hoodies are allowed.
