Well done!
Well done to the Year 8 boys’ football team for reaching the Borough football final. The team made it through to the final after an excellent league campaign to finish towards the top of the table and earn a semi-final spot, before
beating Barking Abbey School to make it through to the final.
On the day, the team had a difficult opening to the game and found themselves 2-0 down, before a spirited second half comeback led to them levelling the match at 2-2. Unfortunately, in the last few minutes of the game, Eastbury scored what turned out to be the winning goal and the boys finished runners up. Despite this disappointment, I hope the team are very proud of their achievements this year and will be able to go one step further in Year 9.
