08 Dec Year 8 Transport Museum
Well done!
The Year 8 Transport Museum trip. On Friday 1st December we went to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. The District Line was very frequent and easy to get into London. We saw a bus, some different trains, lots of children, how transport was in the 1800s and went to the gift shop – which was overpriced!
There was a “heavenly” smell of fish and chips which made us want to eat fish and chips. The speakers in the museum told us about the daily life of people from the Windrush era and Caribbean who worked on the buses in the 1950s. We explored London and saw fancy shops and posh drink shops. We saw a Canadian flag on a syrup shop for the public to experience Canadian food.
We had lunch in Trafalgar Square with the birds and the water fountain and the statue. It was a fun, happy, interesting, super amazing, historic and wonderful day. Written by Callum, Johnsway, Mariam, Luke and Ines
