16 Nov Year 9
Sutton Scholars
We have a small group of six students who have continued to attend UCL’s Sutton Scholars programme in Year 9. As a year team, we are incredibly proud of their determination, commitment and enthusiasm. In Year 9, we have a simple motto: ‘Work Hard, Be Nice, Take Opportunities’. Below is a list of students who have used this guidance to flourish both inside and outside of school:
Arafat Abiola 9C, Alba Nuhiallari 9C,
Rachel Okine 9C, Enisa Kurta 9H,
Waleed Rafique 9J, (pictured above) and Filip Zajdler 9H.
A few of these students have now gone above any beyond in their attendance to the UCL programme and have achieved awards for various achievements during their last session at the university. As you will see, they have truly embedded their 5 R’s of character as they have approached this opportunity. Congratulations to:
Waleed Rafique (9J) for being awarded a prize for being ‘Most Polite’ (Respect).
Alba Nuhiallari (9C) for having the ‘Best Homework’ (written skills) (Responsibility)
Rachel Okine (9C) for having the ‘Best Homework’ (research skills) (Resourcefulness)
Filip Zjadler (9H) for being the ‘Most Enthusiastic’ (Resilience)
What an incredible achievement to have already achieved an award at a university in Year 9! Their futures are incredibly bright, well done to all of our Sutton Scholars.
Miss Draisey and the Year 9 team.
