14 Jul Yr12 Jungle Creations Mentoring – “Pitch Perfect?”
Well done!
Another week has passed in the mentoring scheme with Jungle Creations and from the conversations I have had with the Year 12 mentees the intensity around the final projects and pitch is beginning to ramp up.
At the end of the scheme the partnership of mentor/ mentee has to present a pitch to a panel about a product or media piece they feel could have an impact for a company. The best pitch could earn the winning mentee the two-week paid internship with Jungle Creations.
Even if the mentee is not a winning won, they have all gained so much from the programme that the pun of “everyone’s a winner” really applies. Each one of them has created a contact and in many cases already spread their network in the media world.
In the last Seagull edition, we met three of our mentor/mentee pairings – below please meet our other four:
Almas & Nads Amidat & Patri Ronnie & Steph
Yasmin & Tom (on a virtual meet!)
Every time I speak with the Year 12 students there is an enthusiasm and excitement about what they are doing and the opportunities they are getting.
We aim to inspire through education and experience but the additional help from Peer 2 Peer & Jungle Creation takes this experience to a new level.
Watch out for more from the Jungle in future Seagulls……. Who will be “King” or “Queen” … of The Jungle at the final pitch!
