Homeward Bound

After a slight lie in the group had breakfast at 8.45. Taxis were then “Grabbed” ( the Malaysia version of Uber). The group travelled with all our luggage to our base for the day the 5* resort called “Langkah Syabas Beach Resort” at Kinarut.

At the point of arrival, we were met by a lovely resort with swimming pool and beach front. Some of the group organised an taxi back into town to buy souvenirs and spend every last ringett! Others decided to explore the resort, ending up in the pool playing volleyball and frisbee. Quite a few decided they had done enough over the last 15 days and stayed still still on a sun bed.

We were then treated to a plentiful lunch with our biggest allowance yet of 30 ringetts each! After lunch a group of four went into town for the last time whilst everybody else enjoyed the afternoon relaxing at the beach or in the pool.

4:30 arrived too quickly and everyone had to get ready for departure. At 5 a minibus and a fleet of “grab” taxis took the group and all their luggage to the airport.

Good-Bye Borneo – it’s been fun!

Parents….  don’t forget to pick them up Thursday morning please!
