24 Aug JRCS Celebrate KS4 Results
The Year 11 students at JRCS were today celebrating another year of examination success at school. They are the first year group to follow the new maths and English courses and receive the new 1-9 grades in these subjects.
Overall the school achieved 57% 4-9 grades in both English and maths and is expecting a positive Progress 8 score for the year group.
We look forward to welcoming many of our students into our Sixth Form in September to continue their studies on both A Level and BTEC courses.
Amongst our top performing students was Camilo Mosquera who achieved the equivalent of nine A*s and one A; Bjorn Limani who gained eight A*s and two As and Jyotika Ahtty who recorded six A*s, three As and one B. There were students achieving real success across the board with many of them exceeding their own target grades and expectations.
Mr Smith the headteacher at JRCS said ‘I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our students on their successes this summer and thank the staff at JRCS for all of their hard work since September. Our students have faced the challenges of the new English and maths courses with determination and resilience. I am very proud of all of them’
