24 Aug Sixth Form Results 2016
We wish all our leavers a happy, fulfilled and successful future.
Yet again we are delighted with the results of our students. We have maintained the high standards of last year; Jo Richardson Community School continues to be highly successful. We enjoy working within the Southern Consortium which has had another year to be proud of.
Many students have gained the very highest grades of A*, Distinction* and A. These include Daniel Claridge (A* English Literature and A* Sociology) who is going to study English at Canterbury Christchurch University. Adeolu Onakade and Daniel Fajinmi both achieved two A grades and intend to study engineering and finance respectively. Three students achieved the top possible grade in Btec Business Studies: Lauren Brent, Ashleigh Brown and Job Ford. Job is going to study accounting and finance at Lancaster University; Lauren and Ashleigh are employed already. We are expecting five students to go to Russell Group universities in September.
We have a range of interesting destinations including medicine at King’s College, London, fashion buying at the Fashion Retail Academy and speech and language therapy in London. Some of the other career paths and university courses are sociology, film and TV production, sports coaching, law and musicianship. It is very exciting that our students go on to study or work in such a variety of arenas.
