Blog from leader of the day Gabriele Sartauskaite
A successful day. Relaxed and organised leadership allowed students to have a more chilled day.
After breakfast we packed our swimwear (and shower stuff!) and headed for El Ojo de AguaPrint. This was a natural spring lake that had been turned into a day park where people come to relax in the spring water and generally chill out. It is surrounded by palms and had some local traders selling Nicaraguan ware. Just reducing the pace at which we were living was nice. Most people also took advantage of the restaurant, even though we had lunch with us, ham &cheese toasted with chips seemed most popular!
After eventually getting everyone out we headed back to the campsite to check out all the kit and tents ready for a very early morning departure on Monday to get to San Juan and R&R.
On a personal note – “Hi Mum & Dad! I know you are reading the blogs!”
