This week over 100 year 10 students and the staff of the History Department headed out on to the school field to recreate the Battle of Hastings. Fought in 1066 the battle was a major turning point in English history with the Normans, led by William, defeating the Saxons, led be Harold. Making history active reinforces and deepens learning. We’d like to thank all students and staff who made it a success.
